My Opinion on The Percy Jackson Series (Some Spoilers Included)

First I want to say that I LOVEDDDDD the Percy Jackson Series. I think that the series is a master piece by Rick Riordan (the author).

Ok, the first book, called The Lightning Thief, got me hooked to read the rest. The first book was on of my favorites. On my scale I would rate it at 3.

Then the second book called The Sea of Monsters was a great book but it just didn’t hit with me. So on my scale it goes at 5. However, in this book I enjoyed how they found Tyson and I liked Percy’s indifference about Tyson.

Next is the third book, called The Titans Curse. I ranked this at two because this was one of my favorite books, I loved it because of the way Artemis goes missing and there is a whole quest to find her. I also thought it was cool how when they found Artemis holding up the sky her and Percy tricked the titan Atlas into having to carry the sky. It is also very impressive how Percy holds the weight of the sky even though it’s only for a few seconds.

Next up we have Percy Jackson and the Battle of the Labyrinth. For me this was a very difficult decision between this book and the Lightning Thief for spot number three. In the end I rated it one lower because the story line is a bit more confusing. It is still a great story though.

Finally, the number one book on my chart is the last book in the series called The Last Olympian this is my favorite book because in this book everything is revealed. I always think this is super cool to find out everything that you don’t know. However this book was so cool because there is a huge monster named Typhon and he almost destroys all of the United States. But instead

My Summer Vacay!

This is a post about my summer vacation! Hope you enjoy! So on my vacation my first stop was Boston, Massachusetts.

Where we went to the Boston Public Library, walked some of The Freedom Trail, went to a Boston Red Socks game at Fenway Park and more!

Then we went on to New Jersey, where we stoped to eat lunch with one of my moms friend. And then I went to Montreal, Canada where I went to the former Olympics stadium.

Then we went to downtown Montreal and went shopping and I ate poutine for the first time (I didn’t really like it). And after alllll that I went back home to North Carolina.

My 6th Grade Back Pack Project

Hi there! This is my first blog and I hope you enjoy. Over the summer we read a book called Finding Someplace about a girl named Reesie who’s 13th birthday occurs on the day that Hurricane Katrina hits New Orleans. While she takes shelter in her elderly neighbors house  her parents are busy helping the workforce. When we came back to school we started a project.

Then, we wrote an essay on who we thought was the hero of the story.

Then, she asked us to write an essay on who we thought was the hero of the story:

In my opinion Andre is the hero of Finding Someplace, here are my reasons why:

1. First off, Andre is scrappy. I think this because he lied about Mr.s Martine being his grandma which ended up saving Mr.s M’s life. He’s also scrappy because when everyone needed it he found a way to get them to the top of the house and to safety.

2. Next, Andre is optimistic. Andre is optimistic because the whole time they were stuck in the attic of Mr.s M’s house Andre always had hope they would make it out and everything would be ok. He also he also had the same attitude when Mr.s M got sent away to get help.

3. Andre is also caring. I think he is caring because when anyone was sad like Eritrea of Reesiehe would help them feel confident and strong again by comforting them.

4. Finally, I think Andre is brave. I think this because to survive a very deadly hurricane and save three other people while hardly surviving at all is one of the bravest thing I can think of!

This is why I think Andre Knight is the hero of Finding Someplace.

Finally, in class our teacher asked us what we would pack if we were stuck in a hurricane.
